Resep Model Ikan Palembang
Model is a Palembang-style fish broth soup, similar to pempek but with a sago dough filled with tofu. It’s served with a refreshing shrimp broth and glass noodles, offering a light, savory, and refreshing flavor.

- Clean the white tofu, then cut it into squares. Fry the tofu half cooked, remove and drain.
- Mix the mackerel fish meat with eggs, spices and water. Add sago flour little by little while continuing to stir until evenly mixed. Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil, stir well.
- Take a little dough, fill the middle with tofu then cover it again with dough, make a round shape. Do this until the dough runs out. Then fry until cooked.
- Gravy: Puree the shallots and garlic, then saute until fragrant. Add the prawns, saute until the prawns change color.
- Add water, then season with pepper, salt, sugar and stock powder. Cook until boiling, then add the spring onions, turn off the heat.
- Cut the fish into pieces, arrange in a bowl, pour over the sauce.
- Serve with vermicelli, cucumber and a sprinkling of fried onions.
