  1. Cut the mackerel fillet into small pieces.
  2. Grind/blend the mackerel fish with eggs, garlic, shallots and water until smooth and evenly mixed.
  3. In a container, pour the mixture from the grinder/blender. Mix the mixture with tapioca flour, flour, carrots, sugar, salt and pepper until smooth. Correct the taste.
  4. In a saucepan, bring plenty of water to a boil.
  5. Take a skewer. Previously, grease your hands with oil so they don't stick. Take a little dough with your hands and then immediately form the sempolan on the skewer.
  6. Dip the sempol into boiling water. Wait until it floats and leave it for a moment to cook. Lift and drain.
  7. In a frying pan, heat plenty of oil for frying. Prepare the dye.
  8. Take the sempol then dip it in the beaten egg. Rotate the sempol until the entire surface is covered in egg.
  9. Fry sempol in hot oil. Fry until it changes color to brownish yellow. Lift and drain.
  10. Ready to be served.
  11. Sempol that has been cooked and boiled can also be stored as food stock in the freezer.
