Resep Tahu Jeletot
A creative young woman from Bandung transformed traditional tahu isi (tofu with filling) into "tahu jeletot," a spicy vegetable filling packed with chili peppers. It’s typically served with a generous amount of chili rawit (bird's eye chili) as a condiment.

- 1. Heat the oil then saute the ground spices until fragrant. 2. Add the eggs and scramble. 3. Add carrots, stir well. Pour water so it doesn't get too dry. Cook until slightly wilted. 4. Add cabbage and cayenne pepper, stir well. 5. Season with sugar, salt and pepper. Stir well then adjust the taste. Cook until done. 6. Finally, add the leeks and celery. Stir well then remove from heat. Set aside.
- 1. In a container, mix all the dye ingredients. Add water until medium consistency. 2. Take the tofu and split it on one side. Fill the tofu until it is full. Do it until everyone knows it's gone. 3. Heat a lot of oil. 4. Dip the tofu in the coating material then fry in hot oil. Cook until cooked and brown on both sides. Lift and drain. 5. Ready to serve.
- 1. Don't cut the tofu too wide so that the filling doesn't come out easily when fried. 2. So that the tofu is cooked to a beautiful golden yellow color, use a wide frying pan. For example, the Maspion Wok Clarita (See on Lazada DISCOUNT) which has a diameter of 35 cm. So it can hold a lot of oil and the tofu can cook evenly without sticking together.
