This recipe describes bite-sized, irregularly cut chicken fillets, fried in crispy breadcrumbs to resemble miniature popcorn, often called “popcorn chicken” or “pok pok chicken.”

Ingredients

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the chicken with oyster sauce, garlic powder and ground pepper. Mix well and let sit for at least 30 minutes. Set aside.
- In a container, mix all the dry coating ingredients then mix well and set aside. Also prepare the dye in a separate container and set aside.
- Heat lots of oil.
- Roll the chicken meat in the dry coating material, then dip it in the dipping agent. Roll again in dry coating material.
- Fry the chicken in hot oil over medium-low heat until it turns brown. Lift and drain.
- Ready to be served.
- 1. Make sure the chicken meat is at room/normal temperature when it is processed. So that when fried, the chicken can cook evenly all the way to the inside. This tip also applies to other ingredients that are fried in flour. 2. Serve the pok pok chicken with your favorite dipping sauce or seasoning. 3. To cut or fillet the chicken, use a sharp knife so as not to damage the meat's texture. Like the Vicenza Knife Set (see Lazada DISCOUNT) which is made from rust-proof stainless steel. Consists of 6 knives complete with coaster, scissors and peeler. Economical!
