Fresh cherries make this a great topping for ice cream or pound cake.

Instructions
- Put cherries in medium saucepan; add sugar, water, and spices. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove cherries with slotted spoon; add jam and boil until syrupy. Pour syrup over cherries.
- Ready to serve!
