Nasi timbel is a traditional Bandung dish of warm, freshly cooked rice wrapped in banana leaves, originally a lunchbox for Sundanese farmers but now a popular favorite at Sundanese restaurants.

Instructions
- Wash the rice until clean.
- Boil water in a pan, then add the rice and stir until the water is absorbed.
- Turn off the heat, let stand for 10 minutes.
- Steam the rice for 30 minutes until cooked. Lift.
- Take a piece of banana leaf and put 5 tablespoons of rice. Roll up the banana leaves. Twist the ends of the leaves right and left. Insert it into the center while pushing it inward.
- Serve nasi timbel with accompaniments.
- Banana leaves should be dried first or heated over a stove fire so they don't tear easily when wrapping the rice
