  1. Marinate the chicken with smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and olive oil. Stir to mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat. Add the olive oil and butter, followed by the garlic, potatoes, and the remaining ingredients. Cook the potato wedges until the outside is browned and the inside is cooked through, about 10–15 minutes. Dish out and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and butter. Pan-fry the chicken for about 4–5 minutes on each side, turning to cook the other side until golden brown.
  4. Push the chicken to one side of the skillet and add the potatoes. Season with additional salt to taste. Turn off the heat and serve the chicken and potatoes immediately, accompanied by a hot sauce of your choice, if desired.
