  1. Boil the meat in 1 L of water until tender, drain and cool. Take the broth.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan, saute the spices until fragrant.
  3. Add star anise, cinnamon, cloves, sweet soy sauce, stir briefly.
  4. Add the meat, stir until mixed with the spices.
  5. Add meat cooking water or stock.
  6. Add sugar and salt, cook until the meat is tender and the spices are absorbed. Adjust the taste.
  7. Lift. Serve sprinkled with fried onions.
  8. Make the cuts of meat not too thick so they cook faster but not too thin either.
