Instructions
- Boil beef ribs using a pressure cooker for 15-20 minutes. Lift. Drain the ribs.
- Heat the oil. Saute ground spices with bay leaves, lime leaves, galangal and lemongrass until fragrant.
- Add beef ribs. Pour in water and thick coconut milk. Cook while stirring until it boils.
- Add cinnamon, star anise/pekak, pepper, salt and sugar. Stir and cook until the sauce reduces and thickens. Lift.
- Ready to be served.
- If you like it spicy, you can add ground chilies or whole cayenne peppers according to your taste.
