Instructions

  1. Boil beef ribs using a pressure cooker for 15-20 minutes. Lift. Drain the ribs.
  2. Heat the oil. Saute ground spices with bay leaves, lime leaves, galangal and lemongrass until fragrant.
  3. Add beef ribs. Pour in water and thick coconut milk. Cook while stirring until it boils.
  4. Add cinnamon, star anise/pekak, pepper, salt and sugar. Stir  and cook until the sauce reduces and thickens. Lift.
  5. Ready to be served.
  6. If you like it spicy, you can add ground chilies or whole cayenne peppers according to your taste.
