Resep Tahu Walik
This Banyuwangi snack is similar to fried tofu and meatballs, but the large fried tofu (pong) is flipped so the skin is inside before being filled with chicken meatball filling. It’s then fried to have a crispy, wrinkled exterior.

Instructions
- Cut the tofu into 2 triangular pieces. Turn the tofu over until the skin is inside.
- In a container, add ground chicken meat, egg white, fine garlic, pepper, stock powder, salt and sugar. Mix well.
- Add tapioca flour and spring onions. Mix well again.
- Take 1 tsp of chicken mixture then put it into the tofu (like making stuffed tofu). Do this until all the dough is used up.
- Heat lots of oil. Fry the tofu until cooked and brown. Lift and drain.
- Ready to be served.
- 1. Before frying, heat the oil over high heat. When frying, just use low heat so that the inside of the tofu (chicken mixture) is cooked and the outside doesn't burn. 2. To produce really dry walik tofu, you have to fry it using the deep fry method. 3. Use a Maspin Maslon Deep Fryer (See on Lazada DISCOUNT) so that the entire surface of the tofu is submerged in oil.
