Instructions

  1. Soak the jambal roti bones in hot water for approximately 20 minutes. Lift and drain.
  2. Heat some oil. Saute garlic, shallots, lemongrass and galangal until fragrant.
  3. Add large, curly green chilies and fat chilies. Stir well.
  4. Add jambal bones. Stir briefly.
  5. Pour in water and add salt and granulated sugar. Stir well.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and basil. Stir well and cook over medium heat until the water reduces. Lift.
  7. Ready to be served.
  8. Gendot chilies can be replaced with red cayenne peppers.
