Instructions
- Take half of the granulated sugar, cook over low heat until it becomes caramel.
- Once it becomes caramel, add half the water gradually while continuing to stir (be careful and slow because the caramel will splash). Cook until the caramel dissolves.
- After the caramel has dissolved, add the pandan leaves, remaining granulated sugar and water, cook until it boils. Turn off the heat, let it cool.
- Once cold, pour the caramel water into the sticky rice flour, a little at a time, stirring thoroughly until there are no lumps. The dough can be filtered to make it smoother.
- Heat the banana leaves on the stove until they soften, then line the base and edges of the baking dish with banana leaves. The baking dish has a diameter of 10 cm. If you don't have a small baking pan, you can use a small basket.
- Pour the basket cake mixture into the pan until it is half the height of the pan.
- Steam the mixture for 2 hours until cooked. Ready to be served.
