- Soak basil seeds in cold boiled water until they swell then drain. Set aside.
- Cut just a little or 1/4 of the top of the papaya crosswise. Remove the seeds then scoop out the papaya flesh (not too deep) using a cocktail spoon (rounded fruit spoon). Set aside the papaya flesh. Peel the papaya skin. Set aside.
- Bring agar, liquid milk and sugar to a boil while stirring. Turn off the heat. Leave it for 5 minutes until the hot steam disappears.
- Pour the basil into the papaya. Then add the papaya flesh (not all of it).
- Pour the agar solution into the papaya fruit. Allow it to cool then put it in the refrigerator.
- Cut the papaya into pieces and it's ready to be served.
- Don't pour the agar solution directly into the hot papaya fruit so that the fruit doesn't become soft or mushy.
