Resep Hurricane Cake Roll
This recipe transforms a standard Swiss roll into a stunning, ultra-soft “Hurricane Cake Roll” with a unique, eye-catching pattern after slicing. It also includes tips for preventing cracks and peeling in the Swiss roll crust.

- Ingredients 1: Mix egg yolk and liquid milk, stir well using a whisk, add cooking oil, stir well. Add the flour, stir until smooth.
- Ingredients 2: Mix the egg whites, lime juice and some of the sugar, beat until foamy, add the remaining granulated sugar, beat until soft peaks form.
- Mix the egg white mixture (ingredient 2) into the egg yolk mixture (ingredient 1) gradually, stir well using a spatula.
- Take 4 tablespoons of the mixture, mix it with cocoa powder which has been diluted with a little water, stir well.
- Pour the mixture into a 22 x 22 cm tin that has been lined with baking paper.
- Then pour the chocolate mixture over it, spread it evenly, then make a pattern using the tip of a tablespoon, draw a horizontal line starting from the top left corner to the right, then to the left and so on all the way to the bottom. Then draw a vertical line starting from the top left corner towards the bottom, slide it to the right then up and so on until finished.
- Once finished, gently tap the pan to remove air bubbles.
- Bake at 160°C for 35 minutes until cooked. Once cooked, cool.
- Spread with chocolate spread, roll and compact, store for one hour in the refrigerator before cutting.
