Instructions
- In a medium-sized skillet add the oil for frying and fill the skillet ½ inch up the sides. Heat the oil to medium-high heat or 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Slice 2 large onions into rings measuring ¼ inch in thickness.
- In a small bowl, add 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon baking powder. In another bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs. In the last bowl, add 2 cups panko, ½ cup grated parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon paprika, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder and stir to combine.
- Dip each onion ring first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and lastly in the Panko mixture. Repeat with all of the onion rings.
- Add the onion rings to the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown. Place the fried onion rings on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. After coating the onion rings line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
